Golf Information

The golf outing is on November 11 at the Ocean Club on Paradise Island. Tee times are 8:00-8:20 am and 9:00-9:20 am. Our current Class President, Jim Richardson, (an avid golfer) has agreed to help set up the rules of play for the tournament.

Greens fees are $215 per person, which includes green and cart fees, bag tag, divot tool, practice balls, tees and use of cart towel. Fees are payable to Farr International, who are operating a master account with the resort and must be paid by the end of registration Friday November 8th either by a check drawn on US funds or cash. The Ocean Dlub will provide all food and beverage on the course.

Everyone must have a set of clubs. Arrangements for rental clubs and shoes can be made through the Tournament Office 242-363-6682. Both men's and women's rental clubs are available for a $50 fee. The shop features Titleist, Callaway and Cobra clubs. Shoe rentals are Footjoy and are $10.

The approved dress code is as follows:

Men: Slacks or Bermuda length shorts are permitted. Shirts must have sleeves and a collar. Cutoff shorts or blue jeans are not permitted.
Women: Slacks, mid thigh length shorts and skirts are permitted. Golf shirts without collars are permitted for ladies. Cutoff shorts or blue jeans are not permitted.
All Players: Only smooth soled tennis shoes, spike-less golf shoes or soft-spiked golf shoes are permitted. The Ocean Club does not permit the use of metallic golf spikes. The Ocean Club can change out metallic spikes for soft spikes at a minimal charge.

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday afternoon, followed by an owner's dinner graciously sponsored by Rolex, at which the prizes for the Golf Tournament will be awarded. The course is beautiful, located at the end of Paradise Island overlooking the ocean, and it should be a relaxing day after racing over the weekend.
